Summer Reading 2023

Online Logging for Kids

This summer children will have the option of logging books online! Go to: https://engagedpatrons.org/read/?siteID=8753&ReadID=1200 to create an account.

To Sign Up Online: Click CREATE NEW USER. Fill in the areas marked with asterisks* to create an account. Parents can select the ability to manage multiple profiles. This will allow you to create accounts for children and log books under the same parent account. Once your account is created you can log in and click “add title” to add titles to your profile. 

Week 1 (June 19-24)

Monday, 6/19 at 10:30 – Family Story Time
Join us on the lawn for an all-ages story time! If it rains, this program will be held inside in the library’s community room.

Tuesday, 6/20 at 5:30 – Summer Reading KICK OFF!
Sign up for the summer reading program and join us for an ice cream party!

Thursday, 6/22 at 3:00 – Morse Code Keychains
Use beads to write your name in Morse Code!

Week 2 (June 26-July 1)

Monday, 6/26 at 10:30 – Yoga Story Time
Bring a blanket or yoga mat and join us on the lawn for yoga story time! If it rains, this program will be held inside in the library’s community room.

Tuesday, 6/27 at 3:00 – Watercolors for Kids
Learn how to paint with watercolors with Miss Carolyn! Sign-up is required – please Click Here to register!

Wednesday, 6/28 at 6:00 – Wednesday Night in the Park with Lindsay and her Puppet Pals!
Join us for special performances at Fernald Park! Fernald Park is located at the corner of Central St. and Tappan St. in Farmington. If it rains, the performance will be held at the Rec Department at 531 Main St. in Farmington. These programs will have Sign Language interpretation.

This program series is held in partnership with the Rec Department and funded through the Arts for Community Engagement Grant from the NH State Council on the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts.

Thursday, 6/29 at 3:00 – S.T.E.A.M Thursday with Indi Car
Explore coding with Indi Car!

Friday, 6/30 at 10:30 – Field Trip Friday: Butternut Farm!
Meet us at Butternut Farm for a berry picking trip! The cost is $5 per child, payable to Butternut Farm on the day of the trip (6/30/2023). Registration is required – please Click Here to sign up! Please fill out one form for each child attending.

Week 3 (July 3-8)

Tuesday, 8/1 at 5:00 – Children’s Literacy Foundation (CLiF) storyteller and book give-away!
Thanks to the Summer Readers grant from CLiF, we will be hosting a storytelling presentation and book giveaway! Local Author Marty Kelley will read and tell stories. After the presentation, every child can pick 2 brand new books! Thanks, CLiF!!
This presentation will be at Fernald Park, located at the corner of Central St. and Tappan St. in Farmington. The rain location is here at the Goodwin Library.

Prepare to get spectacularly messy at our fifth annual Messy Art Night! Enjoy sponge bombs, fly swatter painting, slinky painting and more messy activities! Wear clothes that can get messy.
