
Goodwin Library’s Annual Summer Reading Program: Oceans of Possibilities
Goodwin Library’s annual Summer Reading Program is coming soon! We hope to encourage patrons of all ages to read for fun this summer. We have numerous family friendly events planned. Sign ups start June 3 at the Farming School District Spring Fling! Earn prizes for logging books this summer such as tickets to Story Land or Santa’s Village, ice cream cone passes, or gift cards to local restaurants, like The Farmer’s Kitchen.
Kick off- Tuesday, June 21 at 5:30- Join us on the lawn with children’s musician, Steve Blunt! Stop into the library during this time to sign up for summer reading. We offer a children, teen, and adult summer reading, so sign up the whole family!
Story Times
- Family Story Time- Mondays at 10:30- Join Miss Donna for stories, songs, and rhymes, great for the whole family!
- Yoga Story Time- Thursdays at 3:00- Bring a mat (or a blanket) and join Miss Kayla for stories, games, and yoga!
Book Groups
- Bookworms- Tuesday, July 12 at 3:00- Pick up a copy of Inky’s Amazing Escape by Sy Montgomery, then join Miss Donna for a book discussion and activities. (PK-2nd)
- Book Bites- Tuesday, July 19 at 3:00- Pick up a copy of the graphic novel The Leak by Kate Petty to read in advance and then join Miss Kayla for a book discussion and activity. (3rd-5th)
Friday Field Trips- Meet up with a librarian for an out of library program! (some events require registration). Patrons are responsible for their own transportation to the field trip location.

Crafts To-Go– Each week will feature a new craft to-go! New crafts are put out on Mondays and are available all week.
Henna Art– Tuesday, June 28 at 5:30- Drop in for Henna Art! This program is for ages 12+ and registration is required. Click here to register.
Sharpie Tiles- Tuesday, July 12 at 5:30- Join us to tie dye ceramic tiles with Sharpies! This program is for ages 12+ and registration is strongly encouraged, but not required. Click here to register.
Online Book Logging- Don’t want to come into the library to log books? Check out our online book logging site! Use this link to access our page and follow the directions below to create your account.
- Click CREATE NEW USER. Fill in the areas marked with asterisks* to create an account. Parents can select the ability to manage multiple profiles. This will allow you to create accounts for children and log books under the same parent account. Once your account is created you can log in and click “add title” to add titles to your profile.
