Poets’ Tea Contest

Eligibility:

Open to everyone.
Categories include children (ages 6-12), Teens (ages 13-18), Adults (ages 18+).
Judges of the 2016 Poet’s Tea are not allowed to enter.
Only two poems per person.
Poems may not be of a vulgar or offensive nature.
Poems must be the original work of the entrant

Judging:

Poems are judged on originality, creativity, and artistic quality, as well as comprehension. The decision of the judges is final.

Prizes:

1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will be selected from each category

Copyrights:

The author retains all copyrights to the submitted poem. Poems will be published in the Goodwin Library’s Poet’s Tea book. By entering you are consenting to this publication.

Notifications:

Winners will be informed before the Poet’s Tea. Winners can come to the Poet’s Tea on May 17th at 6PM at the Goodwin Library to collect their prize and read their poem or they can opt to have it read by someone else and have the prize mailed to them.

Submission:

Entries must be sent by e-mail to amy@goodwinlibrary.org, delivered to the circulation desk at the Goodwin Library, or mailed to Goodwin Library, 422 Main Street, Farmington, NH, 03835 (all submissions must be received by April 9th). The Goodwin Library is not responsible for misdirected submissions. Eligible entries must include the entrant’s full name, age group, phone number, e-mail address (if applicable), mailing address, poem title, and poem.
